Religious Education for Children
2026-2027 Religious Education REGISTRATION
Welcome and thank you for choosing St. Damian Religious Education Program for your child/children’s faith formation. Our parish supports parents as the primary educators of their children. We are committed to assisting them in the Religious Education of their children. Our primary goal is to teach each child to know, love and serve God through Jesus Christ.
RE Classes are held on Mondays from 6:45 pm to 8 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
Sessions begin September 14th and meet about 3 times per month until May 3rd.
OCIC classes
are for children in grades 4-7 who have not received First Reconciliation and First Communion. From October until Easter, OCIC students attend classes 2-3 Sundays per month followed by Mass with their family.
Registration forms are available below to print in PDF form. Families may also use the Google Docs link below to register. Printed packets are available in the Narthex by the SHOP table.
NEW FAMILIES must register with the Parish on the website under
New Parishioners. Please provide your Church envelope number on your forms.

Sacramental Fees
First Communion - Grade 2 $50
Confirmation - Grade 8 $75
Bible - Grades 5 through 8 $40 (if needed)
OCIC Class Fee $250
Late Fee for Registrations after August 1, 2026 $25
St. Damian’s First Communion preparation begins in 1st grade.
Confirmation Preparation is a 2-year program (per the Archdiocese of Chicago) that begins in 7th grade.
Communion Sacramental fee: $50 for retreat, Banners, Mass booklets, Sacramental certificate & professional picture.
Confirmation Sacramental fee: $75 for retreat, gown, Sacramental certificate & picture.
OCIC: $250 per child for students in grades 4-7 who have not received First Reconciliation or First Communion. OCIC requires an extra class with Mass attendance on Sundays.
ALL REGISTRATIONS ARE DUE BY AUGUST 28th
Registration forms are posted on the website in Google or PDF formats. Paper forms are in the Church Narthex by the SHOP table.
Please drop off forms and checks or money orders at the St. Damian Pastoral Center at 5250 W. 155th St., which has a 24-hour drop box next to the east entrance.
Online payments are accepted through
