St. Damian participates in our 2nd Annual Vicariate V multi-parish Home Build Project
Together with the assistance of Crossroads Missions, seven parishes of Vicariate V (St. Elizabeth Seton, St. Francis of Assisi, St. George, St. Julie Billiart, St. Michael, and St. Stephen Deacon & Martyr) work together to assist Habitat for Humanity through fundraising for building materials and by constructing the house framing in the church parking lot on the Build Day. The walls are transported by others to the home site where Habitat for Humanity will complete the house with other volunteers and skilled tradespeople. Upon completion, the home will be dedicated to a family in need.
Who can participate?
Anyone! You don’t need special skills or abilities to participate. We need children, teens (under 18 requires adult supervision), adults, and seniors for a variety of roles, including registering volunteers, serving refreshments (Hospitality), lumber preparers, Build Leaders, wall builders, and safety/cleaners. No experience is necesssary. Tools are supplied except for safety glasses and gloves. The SignUp Genius is available by clicking the buttons at the top and bottom of this page.
Friday June 12, 12-3pm

Friday we also need volunteers to place vinyl stickers on all the cut lumber to aid Saturday wall builders. NOTE: Friday Cut & Prep must be over 18 , miter saw experience preferred.
Saturday, June 13, 8am-2pm

• 9:00am - 12:00pm Work Detail, Construct wall frames

Volunteers for hospitality, registration and safety/cleaners are needed both Friday and Saturday.
Waivers
EACH VOLUNTEER MUST TURN IN A SIGNED WAIVER BEFORE THE EVENT TO PARTICIPATE.
Waivers are available in the Church Narthex on the Information Table or print one out here.
Waivers can be dropped of at the Pastoral Center Office or Drop Box. You may also scan and email waiver to info@stdamianchurch.org.
Donations are Needed
Each parish is raising funds to cover $500 worth of lumber and supplies. Any amount helps! Checks can be made out to St. Damian. We also have been asked to provide 168 twelve ounce bottles of Gatorade for volunteers. Please use the SignUp Genius below to record your donation or registration.
