  We begin our meetings with a pro-life rosary at 6:30 pm, meeting begins at 7:00pm in the Pastoral Center, Damian A. Meetings are always on the 2nd Weds. of the month. Join us as we inform ourselves first, then plan to help inform our parishioners about the defense of ALL LIFE.

  If your ministry is involved with serving the children of our parish the Archdiocese of Chicago–
  Protection of God's Children department under the guidelines of the USCCB mandates the followingcompliance practices for you to be complete.
  • Completed and approved criminal background check (onetime process)
  • Completed and approved DCFS Children Abuse Tracking CANTS form (done yearly)
  • Completed and certified Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training (one time process)
  • Acknowledged and signed Code of Conduct form (one time process)
  • Completed VIRTUS Child Abuse Awareness Workshop (live workshop one time process)
  All forms can be obtained at www.archchicago.org – Protection for God's Children link. Once completed the
  forms and certificates must be returned to your ministry department head or the Pastoral Center

• MOPS-Mothers of Preschoolers

  MOPS is for women who are pregnant or have a child newborn through kindergarten. You will gather with other Moms while your children are being cared for by Virtus trained volunteers. • Food Pantry

  Saturday Sep 19, 2015 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM

  Volunteers are always needed. Please come and join us! You can help by showing up at 7:30 am on the third Saturday of the month. You can find us by looking for a large red and white food pantry sign by the school doors just east of the church doors at St. Damian Parish. During the first hour, hundreds of bags of groceries are packed. By 8:30 am volunteers begin delivering the sets of food to clients throughout the Oak Forest community.

This study will use Christopher West's insights in his book, Theology of the Body for Beginners, as a backdrop to understanding the late Pope's vision of sexual love. Through excerpts from Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic
  Church we will explore the richness and beauty of our Catholic faith.Come join us for this exciting adventure into a deeper understanding of our identity - "being made in the image and likeness of God."
  We meet in the Pastoral Center.
