SUPPORT, INSIGHT AND COPING TOOLS
FOR EVERYONE WITH PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
OF MENTAL HEALTH DIFFICULTIES
Research shows that 1 in 5 adults live with diagnosable mental illness such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and/or others. Our Church is passionately devoted to increasing mental health awareness and supporting everyone experiencing psychological distress. No one has all the answers for the numerous challenges of life, but we want to take part in helping to overcome negative attitudes and stigma still surrounding mental health.
January 2019 we will start and facilitate Living Grace Group in our Church. This is a support group for anyone with a personal experience with mental health difficulties who wants to discover practical mental health insights and tools of coping through sharing. All of this is done in a confidential, Christ centered environment with a clear focus on God's grace for transforming our lives. Living Grace Group also focuses on the strengths of each person, and on learning how to filter difficulties through God's grace.
